Since assuming office on Friday 5th April, 2024 , the new Jigawa State Coordinator, Mallam Jidda Dawut has embarked on a familiarization tour to critical stakeholders in the State.
Amongst the key stakeholders visited are the Commissioner of Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, who is also the State Chairman, NYSC Governing board and the Permanent Secretary, Salary and Pension Board in the State to seek for continued support for the smooth operation of the scheme.
While speaking at the office of the Commissioner, Hon. Sagir Musa Ahmed, the Coordinator informed him that he has been briefed on the cordial relationship between the State Government and the NYSC in the State and which has been attributed to the support and cooperation the scheme receives from the Commissioner, he then solicits for a more robust synergy so as to enable him build on the good legacies of his predecessor.
Responding, Hon. Sagir Musa Ahmed welcomed the new State Coordinator to Jigawa and promised to give him maximum support for him succeed.

He also assured him that the State Government will continue to prioritize the welfare and security of Corps Members wherever they may be posted in the State.
Thereafter, he prayed for the successful tenure for the new State Coordinator and admonished him to maintain the good legacies built by his predecessor.
While at the Salaries and Pension Board, the new State Coordinator appreciated the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Yusha’u Abdu Dutse for his support in ensuring that Corps Members serving with the State Government are always paid their monthly State allowance promptly , and then seek for more enhance welfare package of the Corps Members to meet up with the reality of time.
In his response, the Permanent Secretary, informed Dawut that his establishment and NYSC in the State have been enjoying smooth relationship and promised to sustain it during his tenure.
The familiarization visit of the new State Coordinator to these critical stakeholders was facilitated and led by the outgone State Coordinator, Mrs A’ishatu A Adamu, who successfully finished her term of office and transferred to the NYSC North – Central Area office, Minna, Niger State.
