RAMADAN FEEDING : How women GOT huge amount of money to boost their business after Sallah celebration in Jigawa.

As the jigawa state Government Ear-marked to spend the sum of Two point Eight Billion Naira to feed less privileges across the Jigawa state with iftar Ramadan feeding to break their fast with dimple smile with Jallof rice , Bean cake and ( kunu).respectively .

The Honourable commissioner on Special duties Alhaji Auwal D Sankara stated that , ” As you are aware, the Jigawa State Executive Council, under the leadership of His Excellency, Malam Umar A. Namadi (FCA), approved the procurement of food commodities to be distributed as palliatives to the poor and vulnerable people across all 287 Wards in the State during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Additionally, His Excellency has expressed his commitment to providing Iftar Meals to the indigent population throughout the fasting period.”

He added that , “The Iftar Feeding Programme aims to provide traditional Iftar meals, including Kunu, Kosai, and Jollof Rice, for the last 21 days of the fasting period to at least 300 people in each of the 609 Iftar feeding centers across the State. This initiative will cover all 287 Wards as well as ten Tertiary Educational Institutions in the State which comprises Jigawa State College of Education Gumel, Jigawa State College of Islamic & Legal Studies Ringim, Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa, Bilyamunu Usman Polytechnic Hadejia, School of Nursing Hadejia, School of Nursing Birnin Kudu, School of Nursing Babura, School Health of Technology Jahun, Informatic Institute Kazaure, and Federal University Dutse. “

He further stated that “The implementation plan includes the appointment of main vendors/contractors for each of the 27 LGAs, as well as sub-vendors for the 609 Iftar Centers. These vendors will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of meals, with strict monitoring and supervision by ward-level Committees. Payments will be made directly to the main vendors, who will then disburse funds to the sub-vendors and supervisors across the State.”

•Jigawa approves N1.1 Billion food subsidy to workers

The Ramadan iftar program here in Malam Madori local Government led a historical legacies where females who engaged in cooking the food acquired a lot of things after the end of the program.

The (6) females who emerged from Dunari Quarters in Malam Madori said that they have received 200,000 as their allowounces for the period of 18 days Ramadan iftar feeding program under the food vendor of Dunari ward Alhaji Manneer Maikaji .

The gesture made them to decide on boosting their business as manynof them use the said money to buy Sewing machines, food, Domestic animals and many things for them to get self reliance.

The food vendor Alhaji Manneer Maikajim says the program initiated by Malam Umar Namadi to help the vulnerable people is a good idea among the his twelve point agenda . He said many vulnerable group certified themselves with program because they can’t afford it due to the financial situation we have been encountered.

Earlier the Local Government Ramadan Iftar feeding program contractor Aminu Dauda HSS commend the export of Governor umat Namadi for initiating the said program to assist not only the vulnerable groups but the entire people of jigawa .

He further thank the Honourable commissioner ministry for women affairs on her struggles to ensure justice has been done on how Ramadan Feeding program is taking place in every nook and crannies of Malam Madori.
