The Jigawa State Police Command said it’s men have arrested several suspects, including kidnappers, armed robbers, vandals, and drug barons, in various locations across the state.

A statement signed by the command’s public relations officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the police had recovered 7.62mm live ammunition, illicit drugs, vandalized cable wire, and other items during raids on criminals hideouts.

The statement highlighted several instances of the arrests, including of two suspects, Ibrahim Shehu and Kamisu Samaila, who were arrested for vandalizing electric cables along the Babaldu to Jangargari road.

Other suspects, Harisu Sale and Basiru Idris, were arrested in possession of various illicit drugs during a raid at Sara criminal hideout.

Investigation revealed that a reported kidnapping case was a hoax, and the son, Safiyanu Lawan, was in collusion with Abdulrazak Salisu to collect money from his father, Alhaji Lawan Dankoli.
Another suspect Abubakar Alhassan, aka Abu Dogo, was arrested with four pieces of 7.62mm live ammunition.

The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, CP AT. Abdullahi commended the officers and men of the command for their dedication and professionalism in arresting the suspects. He also urged the public to continue supporting the police in the fight against crime.
