The training, held at Haitel Hotel Dutse on Wednesday, 24th April, 2024, aimed to equip participants with the skills to evaluate the effectiveness of SBMC policies.

The training objectives included understanding the overall review of the Jigawa SBMC Policy, contextualizing the situation and roles of various groups involved in fieldwork, and orienting participants on data collection for the review of the Jigawa SBMC policy.

PLANE Jigawa intends to utilize the collected data to review the long-overdue State SBMC policy.

A diverse group of participants, comprising representatives from the Ministry of Education, SUBEB, SBMC members, Law Enforcement Agents, CSOs, Media, and other relevant Departments and Agencies from the Education Sector, attended the training.

With this training, PLANE is poised to make a significant impact on education in Jigawa State, and we look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of this initiative.

  • The role of community involvement and participation in the educational pursuit of their children cannot be over over emphasised as government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility of providing and maintaining the ever increasing cost of funding & managing education to the citizenry.
Education should the collective responsibility of all.
