Intending Pilgrims to Benefit from State Government’s Financial Support, Reduction in Hajj Fees

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that it has finalized all arrangements for the airlift of intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2024 Hajj exercise.
According to the Director General, Alhaji Umar Labbo, the board has taken all necessary steps to ensure a smooth and successful pilgrimage for the 1,292 intending pilgrims from Jigawa State.
In a press briefing, Alhaji Labbo expressed gratitude to Governor Umar Namadi for his financial support, which has enabled the pilgrims to receive a reduction of N2.6 million in Hajj fees compared to other states.
He also revealed that the board has organized a seminar to educate pilgrims on the exercise and will commence vaccination to ensure their health and safety.
Additionally, the board has provided traveling luggage, handbags, and uniforms for all pilgrims.
The only remaining step is securing visas, which is part of the necessary requirements for the pilgrimage.
Alhaji Labbo assured that the board has visited all relevant facilities, including the airport, to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
He expressed optimism, saying, “Alhamdulillah, everything is going according to plan.”
Furthermore, he confirmed that if the dollar exchange rate decreases before the completion of the Hajj exercise, the excess money paid by pilgrims will be refunded to them, as announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
This year’s pilgrims from Jigawa State will be airlifted by Max Air Plane, and the board is working tirelessly to ensure a successful and spiritually fulfilling experience for all.
