The Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON, mni, has reaffirmed the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration’s commitment to equipping and training the Armed Forces to enhance their combat readiness.

During his maiden visit to the 213 Forward Operating Base in Katsina on Monday, 3rd June 2024, the Minister commended the Officers and Men of Operation Hadarin Daji for their sacrifices and patriotism. He praised the Nigerian Armed Forces for their tremendous successes in the fight against insurgency and related crimes.

The Minister assured the troops that all necessary support will be provided to enable them to discharge their constitutional mandate of defending the Nation’s sovereignty and integrity. He also extended President Tinubu’s heartfelt sympathy to the families of the fallen soldiers in Abia state, promising that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

The statement which was shared to Jigawa post online by Mati Ali S.A. Media and publicity to the Minister, said the Commanding Air Component, 213 Forward Operation Hadarin Daji, Air Commodore G I Jibia, expressed appreciation for the Minister’s visit, which has boosted the morale of the troops.

Earlier, the Minister held an interactive discussion with Officers and Men of the Headquarters of the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army and Sector 2 Joint Task Force Operation Hadarin Daji, Katsina. He also visited the Nigerian Army Medical Center, Katsina, where he sympathized with military personnel injured during combat operations.

This visit demonstrates the government’s commitment to supporting the Armed Forces and ensuring the security and well-being of Nigerian citizens.
