His Royal Highness, the Emir of Fika and Chairman Yobe State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Dr Muhammadu Ibn Abali Muhammadu Idrisa CON, CFR, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar as the new Chokalin Fika.
According to a press release signed by Alhaji Ali Gimba Fika, the Acting Secretary of the Fika Emirate Council, the appointment takes immediate effect.
Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, a fellow of Public Audit Media, is expected to bring his expertise and experience to bear in his new role as Chokalin Fika.

The Emir’s appointment is seen as a move to strengthen the traditional institution and enhance the cultural heritage of the Fika Emirate.
