Yobe State Governor, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni today awarded automatic employment to Fatima Jibrin Abdullahi, a volunteer teacher at Kara Government Day Junior Secondary School, Potiskum.
This is contained in a statement issued and signed by the Director General Of Press and Media Affairs to Governor Alhaji Mamman Muhammad and made available to YBC news.
According to the statement Fatima, a National Certificate of Education (NCE) holder, also volunteered as a tutor at the just concluded Spelling Bee Competition organized for students across the state.
Governor Buni commended the organizers for organizing the competition among students from both private and public schools across the state.

He said the Government will support this program to encourage our students to participate actively and to make the competition an annual event,” he said.
Khadija Modu Manga, of Zaid Bin Thabit Secondary School Damaturu, emerged first with a prize of one million Naira.
Yusuf Haruna Mohammed, of Government Day Junior Secondary School Kara Potiskum, emerged second with a prize of N305,000, and Humaira Haruna Mohammed of Junior Secondary School Gashua, emerged third with a prize of N200,000.

Earlier, the leader of the organizing committee and Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr. Mohammed Goje, said the competition was sponsored by individuals to improve the intellect of the students in the state.
He commended members of the public for contributing funds for the success of the program.
