The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has appealed to organizers of planned nationwide protests to consider alternative approaches, such as dialogue and negotiation, instead of resorting to demonstrations.

The appeal comes as the country grapples with significant economic and security challenges, which have sparked widespread discontent among citizens.

According to NOA Jigawa State Director Mallam Ahmad Tijjani Ibrahim, past experiences have shown that protests can lead to destruction of property and loss of life, and can be exploited by malicious individuals to perpetrate harmful acts.

Ibrahim acknowledged that the government is actively engaging with stakeholders to address the economic and security challenges facing the nation, and urged protesters to work with the government to find solutions.

The NOA’s appeal is seen as a bid to prevent potential violence and instability, and to promote a more constructive approach to addressing the country’s challenges.
