The Governing Council of Jigawa State College of Education invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Registrar.
COLLEGE BACKGROUND
Established in 1976 as Advanced Teachers College Gumel, the college was converted to Jigawa State College of Education in 1991.
REGISTRAR POSITION:
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer, Secretary to the Governing Council and Academic Board, and responsible to the Provost for day-to-day administration.
REQUIREMENTS:
– Minimum first degree in arts or social science (2/2)
– Higher degree and professional membership certificate (added advantage)
– 14 years of cognate experience in higher education
– Not below Deputy Registrar rank (CONTIDESS 14) with 3 years’ experience
– Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills
– Not older than 55 years upon appointment
– Computer literacy and knowledge of contemporary administrative principles
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
– 5-year appointment (renewable for 3 years)
– Remuneration and conditions as applicable to Registrars in Nigerian Colleges of Education
