Coalition of Jigawa state emirate development Association (COJISEDA) has extended its heartfelt condolences to Governor Malam Umar Namadi, his family, friends, and the people of Jigawa State, following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar. She departed this world on Wednesday, December 25th, 2024, after a brief illness.
This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen by secretary general of the coalition associate professor Ado Garba Jangargari on Thursday 26th December, 2024 in Dutse.
Jangargari said Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar was a pillar of strength and inspiration to her family and community. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her legacy will continue to inspire and guide those who knew her.

According to him, Governor Namadi has been actively leading Jigawa State’s development, focusing on economic growth, human empowerment, and infrastructure development. His administration has implemented various initiatives, including agricultural transformations, road infrastructure development, and human development services.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar,” says Mairiga. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Governor Namadi, his family, and the people of Jigawa State during this difficult time.”
Jangargari said the passing of Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar is a tremendous loss for the people of Jigawa State. As they mourn her passing, they also celebrate her life and legacy. May Allah grant her eternal rest and paradise Amin.
