SA Gender Hauwa Gumel calls on gov’ Namadi to Empower Women in LGA

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Gender in the Northwestern part of Jigawa State Hajia Hauwa Yusif Gumel, has urged the Jigawa State Council of APC and Governor Mal Umar Namadi to consider appointing women as secretaries and supervisors in local government councils.

Hauwa made the call during an interview with our reporter, noting that the appointments would definitely boost socio-economic education, health, and political leadership of the governor in the state APC and the country in general.

She emphasized that women are in better positions to boost grassroots politics because of their dedication, commitment, and accountability in various leadership positions in the country.

Hajiya Hauwa advised Governor Namadi to eliminate barriers created by selfish politicians who are making obstacles in the current state administration for their personal benefits.

The special assistant commended Governor Namadi for his previous efforts in empowering women through various appointments and initiatives, as well as his administration’s commitment to empowerment and palliatives to boost socio-economic positions of women in the state.

She then called on the people, especially women and youths, to continue praying for the development of Governor Namadi’s administration in Jigawa State and the nation in general.
