In a proactive move to tackle security concerns, the Jigawar Tsada community in Dutse metropolis, Jigawa State, has established a development committee focused on security and children’s education. This initiative comes in response to various challenges plaguing the community, despite having influential individuals in the area.
The committee, which comprises federal and state civil servants, security officers, businessmen, Ulamas, Imams, and other prominent personalities, convened at the Jigawar Tsada village head palace on January 4, 2025. Ibrahim Adamu, the village head, emphasized the need for a lasting solution to the security menace, urging security agencies to take action.

Stakeholders attributed the problems to parental negligence, calling on parents to take responsibility for their children’s upbringing and education. The community has faced significant challenges, including theft and unemployment among youths.
However, it’s worth noting that most youths in the area are not involved in theft, and instead, some youths from neighboring communities are disguising themselves and engaging in theft activities.
The Jigawar Tsada community is one of the largest in Dutse, covering four major areas: Jigawa Tsada, Shaiskawa, Godiya Miyatti, and Takur site, as well as surrounding villages. By coming together to address their security concerns, the community hopes to create a safer and more prosperous enviroment for its residents.
