Farmers Voice NG Launches Maiden Print Edition with Thought-Provoking Symposium

Farmers Voice NG, a digital platform dedicated to agriculture and rural development reporting in Nigeria, is set to unveil its maiden print edition on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The event will take place at the Federal College of Agriculture and Produce Technology in Kano and will feature a symposium titled “They Feed the Nation, but Who’s Listening? Why Farmers Should Make Headlines.”
The symposium aims to bring attention to the crucial role farmers play in Nigeria’s food supply and economy. Despite their significant contributions, farmers often lack representation in mainstream media. The event will provide a platform for voices from the media, academia, and agricultural sector to discuss how to amplify the stories and challenges of Nigerian farmers.
The symposium will feature keynote speakers, including: Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, who will chair the event, Dr. Gambo S. Nababa, Head of Department of Mass Communication, Bayero University, Kano, Dr. Isah Nasidi, Department of Communication and Media Studies, Baze University, Abuja, Malam Ibrahim Musa Gingiyu, Bureau Chief, Daily Trust, Kano Regional Office, Maryam Mohammed, Lecturer and Communication Expert, Maryam Abacha American University, Kano.
The launch of Farmers Voice NG’s print edition represents a significant step forward in agricultural journalism.
