Gwaram LG Youths Praise Gov Namadi’s Leadership, Call for Better Representation

The Gwaram LG Association of Youth for Yielding Awareness, also known as Gayya Ambassadors, has commended Governor Dr. Mal Umar A. Namadi for his leadership and commitment to the development of Jigawa State. 

In a statement signed by Organizing Secretary Fatihu Adamu Kila, PhD, the group praised the governor’s administration for giving unprecedented attention to key sectors such as education, agriculture, water resources, rural and urban development, commerce, civil servants, health, and security.

The group noted that the governor’s leadership style has been effective in promoting development and progress in the state. They commended him for forming a formidable cabinet and group of advisers who are equal to the task ahead. The governor’s commitment to fairness and equity in governance has also been praised by the group.

However, the group expressed concerns about the representation of Gwaram Local Government in the Senate, noting that the area seems unrepresented despite having intelligent and experienced politicians. They also criticized the State Member House of Assembly for switching parties without consulting constituents, describing the move as a betrayal of leadership and a lack of political integrity.

The group made several recommendations to the government, including the need for better representation, good governance, and transparency. They also commended Professor Salim Abdulrahman Lawan Isawa’s leadership as Executive Chairman of Gwaram Local Government, citing his achievements in education, religion, security, health, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
